Cognito Therapeutics tapped me to help develop the branding for the HOPE Study, a clinical study for their innovative Alzheimer’s disease therapeutic. Before starting design concepts, I immersed myself in understanding the Alzheimer’s experience from the perspective of both the patient and their loved ones. Reflecting on the emotional journey of spouses/partners becoming caregivers and the common role reversal between parent and child, I combined continuous line drawings with soft watercolors. A bold, easy-to-read font was chosen to balance the delicate artwork, creating a brand that is approachable and sensitive to its audience.
